Channel One News

This week I am going to share with you one of my favorite news channels I show to my students almost every social studies class. It is called Channel One News. My students LOVE it! It's a great resource to keep the kiddos up to date on current events that are happening in the world we live, but in a kid-friendly way. They post a new video that lasts between 7 - 15 minutes Monday thru Friday.

One of my favorite sections the news anchors share are empowering stories from kids that have made a difference in their community. The show not only brings awareness to what is happening in the world, but also inspires students to be better people. Channel One News ends every episode with a discussion question that promotes higher level thinking and conversation among the students.
